Samba and Bossa Nova from Rio, country dance music from the Northeast of Brazil and Jazz from Sao Paulo. Brazilian jazz is also about beautiful, flowing harmony and memorable melodies. Saxophonist Bryan Girard returns to Rigger's with his acoustic jazz trio. With Keith Saunders on piano and Robb Fisher on bass, the group performs a variety of seldom-played gems from the jazz canon, including some gorgeous Brazilian songs as well as an occasional funky blues.

AMERICANA…ONE OF SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA’S PREMIER GUITARISTS AND VOCALISTS… David Landon is regarded as one of the San Francisco Bay Area’s premier guitarists and vocalists who has performed nationally and internationally at festivals, concerts and clubs. Throughout his career David has performed with many notable artists including 80’s pop star, Tiffany, TV and Broadway star Mario Cantone as well as multi-platinum artist Lenny Williams. In the studio David has had the pleasure to work with Taj Mahal, Kenny Neal and Adam Duritz of the Counting Crows. After two decades of performing in international blues clubs and festivals, Mr Landon has come back to his first love of acoustic guitar and classic acoustic music in the singer songwriter style, playing his original acoustic Americana music either as a solo artist or with his band. Rock, Americana, Bluegrass...Riptide’s unique sound comes from Sandy Israel (rhythm guitar/vocals) and Joe Brennan (lead guitar). Sandy has brought his fingerpick skills from the banjo to the guitar providing a unique lead sound. Joe Brennan adds strummed and fingerpicked parts to add complexity to their sound and writes every day, working on the next song. With great vocals, The Joe Brennan Band delivers a fresh take on songs you know and love, as well as their original material.

AN ALL STAR JAZZ COMBO This is truly an all star combo featuring Bob Scott on drums and vocals. Bob is a legendary drummer who toured for years with the great Willie Nelson and played on most of Willie’s iconic hit records. Bob's co-leader is well known guitarist Lee Waterman. Rounding out the quartet are Alex Baum on bass (Dan Hicks and His Hot Licks) and Ian Willson on sax (formerly w/Pride and Joy).  The repertoire includes jazz & Brazilian classics, blues, and funky Latin grooves with a bit of New Orleans rhythm thrown in for good measure.
